    In addition, CSI has spent the last ten years developing a long term post-operative local anesthetic called Lextrel for which patents have been applied in the US,  Europe and Canada.  Extensive in vitro and in vivo testing has been successfully completed with  Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon issuance of patents. this project and patents will be assigned to a new company.
